About the event

In the quaint town of Loxford, East Sussex, Lady Billows is on a mission. She’s gathered the town's most important folks to find the perfect Queen for their May Day Feast. But there’s a problem: none of the young women meet her high moral standards. Just when all hope seems lost, someone suggests Albert Herring, the shy and obedient greengrocer’s son, as the ideal candidate.

To everyone’s surprise, Albert is crowned King of the May. What follows is a hilarious and unexpected turn of events as Albert, tired of living under his mother’s strict rules, embarks on a wild night of adventure and self-discovery.
